The 19th Zhoushan International Sand Sculpture Festival

As the promotion activity of the 2017 International Island Tourism Conference, the 19th Zhoushan International Sand Sculpture Festival is going to raise its curtain on September 21st. Since the 1999 when Zhoushan people introduced the sand sculpture art into China, the festival formed a unique culture and became the symbol of Zhoushan.

Themed with the “One Belt, One Road” and Chinese Dream, it vividly describes the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road through the sand sculptures. All kinds of folk customs and all types of buildings of the related countries on the Economic Belt of Silk Road are demonstrated here to help you get a better understanding of the “One Belt, One Road”. This exhibition consists of four parts: Sand Sculpture themed with “One Belt, One Road”, 21st Maritime Silk Road, Silk Road Economic Belt and Chinese Dream. It includes 60 works in total, all of which are currently under the construction of more than 30 excellent sculptors from China, Holand, Canada, Czech, Spain and so on. Until now, there is only thirty percent to be done. In addition, it will considerately set some other facilities, for example, waterfalls, fountains, red boats, little trains and so on.
