Crimson Maple and Cherry Blossom Festival of Siming Mountain

Siming Mountain,also called Golden Bell Mountain, is located in the Yuyao City, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. It is reputed as the second Lushan Mountain for its dense forest, fragrant flowers and plants, and verdant mountains as well as lucid water. And it is especially famous as the Village of Crimson Maples in Siming Mountain for the ten-thousand-mu (1 mu roughly equals 666 sq m) crimson maple woods and all kinds of birds landscape. Due to its excellent ecological environment, it is called natural “Oxygen Bar” and becomes the ideal summer resort.

A few days ago, Tourism Festival of Siming Mountain and the twelfth Crimson Maple and Cherry Blossom Festival of Siming Mountain started off. Siming Mountain, as the Village of Chinese Crimson Maple and Cherry Blossom, provided tourists with a great banquet which contained cherry blossom tea,cherry blossom cakes, cherry blossom dumplings and other delicious foods. Besides the events of appreciating the crimson maple and enjoying the cherry blossom, there are various types of cultural activities and sports activities. For example, the activity called “Hundreds of Flower Cars Make the Whole Mountain Lively” prepared colorful parade cars decorated with crimson maples and cherry blossoms for tourists. During the festival, the main meeting hall and seven musical performance points have been set all over the whole forest park for all kinds of theme shows, such as cherry blossom dance, cherry blossom calligraphy, cheongsam show, Chinese Han costume show, and especially the delicate cherry blossom tea banquet of the first time in Zhejiang.

In addition, the main scenic area for appreciating cherry blossom and crimson maple is Little Luogang of Siming Mountain where you can enjoy the cherry blossom banquet and the visual feast of lchiyo, prunus lannesiana and Huwei cherry blossom.
